I created this painting upon moving to the city and noticing how different the dating life here is. I feel like when you are from a smaller town you appreciate people more and that people in the city often have so many options that they go for quantity over a quality relationship and end up treating others like shit. This painting was meant to be a dark parody of the player mentality shared by many men of the city and if filled with symbolism and hidden messages. The women’s heads taxidermied on the wall blatantly represent how a lot of these men see women as objects to collect and brag about. The man was also made to look like a zombie to say how these types of men are monsters and the road signs have all kinds of their own special meanings  if you take time to look around the painting. Overall I think this piece is really fun and comedic while also being dark and carrying a little bit of a deeper meaning at the same time.
