One of my more imaginative and detailed pieces, Lost Lovers, depicts fairy ghosts floating through a dark landscape. All of these fantastical characters are seen with glowing hearts, together with their soulmates, aside of two characters. The ghost fairy in the foreground of the painting dragging herself along is seen looking to the sky, where her love’s ghost is seen alone on the shipwreck because the captain goes down with his ship. If you look closely at the painting, you will also see his wheel in the bottom left symbolizing how he lost his way and his anchor on the bottom right with his lover drifting through it because she is still his anchor. This piece is truly a dark romantic piece and filled with so much detail. Even all of the stars in the sky have partners. Will they ever find eachother or are the destined to be separated forever?
